Leadership Positions Available

President

1 Position

The head of the RWA, responsible for overall management, presiding over meetings, representing the society in external matters, and ensuring smooth functioning of all committees. The President leads the executive committee, coordinates with various departments, and serves as the primary liaison with local authorities and service providers.

Vice President

1 Position

Assists the President in all duties, acts in the President's absence, coordinates between different committees, and helps in policy implementation. The Vice President supports strategic planning, oversees special projects, and ensures continuity of leadership in the President's absence.

Secretary

1 Position

Handles all correspondence, maintains records, manages communications with residents and authorities, and prepares meeting minutes and official documents. The Secretary ensures proper documentation of all RWA activities, maintains member records, and facilitates transparent communication between the committee and residents.

Treasurer

1 Position

Manages all financial matters including maintenance collection, expense tracking, budget preparation, and presenting transparent financial reports to residents. The Treasurer oversees financial planning, ensures proper accounting practices, manages bank accounts, and maintains fiscal transparency for all RWA financial activities.

Executive Member

Multiple Positions

Part of the governing committee, assists in various RWA activities, participates in decision-making, and represents resident concerns in meetings. Executive Members contribute to policy development, participate in various committees, and work on specific projects to improve community life and address resident concerns.

Eligibility Criteria for Candidates

Mandatory Requirements

  • Must be a registered member of Aanchal Vihar RWA
  • Must be a qualified voter (documents and payment verified)
  • Must be the sole owner or first owner of the property
  • Must not have any pending litigation against the RWA
  • Must agree to abide by the RWA bye-laws and constitution
  • Must provide statutory declaration of eligibility
  • Must have a valid Aadhaar card and identity proof
  • Must be available to attend regular meetings and participate actively

Desirable Qualities

  • Active participation in society events and activities
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Availability to dedicate time for RWA matters
  • Problem-solving attitude and leadership qualities
  • Experience in community service or management
  • Clean track record of maintenance payments
  • Respect among fellow residents
  • Willingness to work as a team player

Nomination Process

Become a Qualified Voter

First, register as a member and complete all verification steps - upload your documents, get payment verified by accounts, and documents verified by the Returning Officer. Only qualified voters can be nominated as candidates.

Find a Proposer and Seconder

Your nomination requires support from two other qualified voters - a Proposer and a Seconder. Both must be registered, verified members of Aanchal Vihar RWA and different from you.

Submit Nomination Form

Fill out the official nomination form with your details, desired position, proposer and seconder information. Submit required declarations regarding ownership, litigation status, and bye-laws agreement.

Scrutiny by Election Committee

The Returning Officer and Election Committee will verify your nomination, check all eligibility criteria, validate proposer and seconder details, and ensure all declarations are in order.

Approval and Candidacy

Upon successful verification, your nomination will be approved and you will be officially declared as a candidate for the chosen position. Your name will appear in the candidates list.

What Gets Scrutinized?

Identity Verification

Aadhaar card, voter ID, and other identity documents are verified for authenticity.

Property Ownership

Ownership documents are checked to confirm sole owner or first owner status.

Eligibility Verification

All mandatory requirements are checked to ensure the candidate meets eligibility criteria.

Legal Standing

Check for any pending litigation against the association or legal disputes.

Financial Compliance

Maintenance payment history and financial standing with the RWA.

Proposer & Seconder

Verification that both are qualified voters and have given genuine consent.

Returning Officer

Oversees entire election process, verifies nominations, ensures compliance with election rules, and declares results

Accounts Verifier

Verifies payment status and financial standing of members, checks maintenance records, and ensures financial eligibility

Document Verifier

Checks and validates all submitted documents and certificates, verifies identity and property ownership

Data Entry Officer

Manages member registrations, maintains election records, and ensures data accuracy and integrity
